Be There!

These are difficult times. Difficult, desperate, demanding times. A catastrophe of sorts! The healthcare system is collapsing by the day, people are dying by the hour and hope is diminishing by the second.

Indeed it has brought us closer. Everyone is trying to help someone. And while humanity is at test and we must all face it together, there are times when you give up. There are times when you might ponder over the eventualities and the possibilities. Times when you might panic and leave everything in a jiffy. What do you do then? “Keep your spirits high”, “try and distract yourself, focus somewhere else”, are a few of the most common responses you hear. Of course, people mean well when they tell you that, “everything will be okay,” and yes there’d be sunshine everywhere sooner than you know it. But what about today, right here, right now? The greatest contribution anyone can make to mankind, in the prevailing era, is empathy. You listen, you empathize, you support. Amidst this whirlpool of negativity that has spared none, we need to be kind, that’s all. You don’t have to be there in person to help you dear friend, just check on them regularly. Put aside your differences and egos and reach out. Understand the space they are in, understand what they are saying. It can be too much at times, agreed but you have to swim out and reach the shore for there are many waiting and looking up to you. Taking care of yourself has become more important than ever before. Here’s a few things you can do to stay woke, while at home. –

  1. Wake up early, get out of bed and have a little morning routine. Workout for a bit, water the plants

Remember, “if your compassion does not include yourself, it is incomplete.”

The situation is grim & grave. A small step and a little consideration from you can become someone’s strength. Be There!
